​WHAT IS VOGMASK AND WHAT DOES VOGMASK PROTECT FROM?

VOGMASK is a simple, non invasive way to protect respiratory health and an essential tool to advocate for your own wellness. As we are exposed to an increasing number of environmental pollutants every day; masks provide immediate protection of your health. VOGMASK is a tool for wellness, style, and a symbol of care for yourself, the planet, and the future.

VOGMASK is used for protection from airborne microscopic particles such as PM 0.3, PM 2.5, PM 10, dust, allergens, post combustion particles, shavings, biologics, airborne bacteria and viral particles, odors, mold, mold spores, particles in wildfire smoke, volcanic particulate pollution, and other airborne contaminants.

​Vogmask offers highest quality materials and construction, manufactured under Quality Plan for conforming and efficient products. Vogmask's 95% Particle Penetration Filtering Efficiency Filter class provides >99.9% Viral and Bacterial Filtering Efficiency, Safe and Comfortable Breathing Resistance, Valves Tested for inward valve leakage.

WHAT IS THE MISSION OF VOGMASK?

VOGMASK supports humanitarian, relief and clean air awareness efforts around the world. Wearing a VOGMASK starts a dialogue about our responsibility to change behaviour for the health of the planet, to refuse to accept an inherited future, and to take charge of your own health.​

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF VOGMASK?

Vogmask is offered in valved and non-valved respirators, in microfiber or organic fabrics.

VALVED VOGMASKS help protect the mask wearer from inhalation of microscopic particles and feature two filter media sewn in to the middle layers of the mask and 1 or 2 exhalation valves. While Valved respirators are especially comfortable protection for youth, people with respiratory challenges and sports, please note that the exhale of the mask wearer exits partially through the valve unfiltered. 

Valved Vogmasks come in 2 versions: Microfiber VMCV with single exhale valve, and the VMC2V Organics with dual exhale valves.

All Valved Vogmasks include carbon filter layer which helps with odors and absorbing moisture.

NON-VALVED VOGMASKS help protect both the mask wearer from inhaling microscopic particles AND help protect the environment from the exhaled droplets of the mask wearer.  Non-valved Vogmasks feature the same highly efficient particle filtering media sewn into the middle layer of the mask as the valved Vogmasks. Note that non-valved Vogmasks filter both inflow and outflow.

Non-valved Vogmask come in 2 versions, and are products marked Microfiber VMC with filter media and carbon filter layer, and Organic VM with filter media

​ROLE OF MASKS IN GLOBAL HEALTH

Vogmasks with the round disk on the side of the mask, the Exhale Valve(V), protect the wearer of the mask from inhaling airborne microscopic particles.  The two filters, carbon and particle, are the same size as the mask, sewn into the middle layers, not replaceable, but marked Reusable.   These masks provide excellent protection for the mask wearer from contaminants entering the respiratory system.

In Corona virus COVID-19 pandemic, many regions are recommending face coverings so that people who are asymptomatic do not exhale their germs into the community. Non-valved Vogmasks provide excellent protection for mask wearer and community for environments where interception of exhaled droplets is the objective.

WHAT SIZE VOGMASK SHOULD I ORDER?

​​VOGMASK is offered in 5 sizes. Small through to Extra Large

IMPORTANT: If the wearer is large for their height, please choose next size up.

SIZE SMALL : YOUTH UNDER 10 YEARS OLD
eg. Wearers aged 3 up to 8/9 years (approximately 11-23kg)

SIZE MEDIUM : 10 YEARS TO PETITE ADULT 5'3" (1.6M)
eg. Tweens, small, petite Teenager or Small, petite Female face

SIZE MEDIUM+ : SMALL ADULT 5'4"-5'7" (1.63M - 1.7M)
eg. Most medium to average adult female faces, teenagers and some smaller built male faces.

SIZE LARGE : MAJORITY OF ALL ADULTS, ADULTS TALLER THAN 5'7" (>1.70M)
eg. Average to large-faced Adult Female and most Adult Male faces. 

SIZE XL :  VERY LARGE ADULT OR OVER 6'2" (>1.9M)
eg. Fits a Larger faced Adult male (ie. a broader face or larger head). Also would fit taller adults above 6'2 (1.9M)

The Head strap accessory snaps to ear loops and provides behind the head mask attachment and can improve fit. 

Ear loops are measured in Quality Plan and Quality Inspection.  If ear loops are tugging ears forward, please gently stretch two or three times to loosen ear loop length.

USEFUL LIFE AND REUSABILITY

VOGMASK CONFORMS TO REUSABLE STATUS UNDER INTERNATIONAL DIRECTIVES:

The particle and carbon filtering layers are sewn into the middle layers of the mask and are not replaceable.

WHAT IS THE USEFUL LIFE OF VOGMASK?

The VM filter media recipe in Vogmask has an obsolescence date three years from manufacture or opening of the airtight packaging, whichever is later. The recommended Use by Date is marked on the back of the packaging at top of diamond under the International Hourglass Symbol.

Once the middle layer particle filter is saturated with microscopic particles, there is a noticeable increase in breathing resistance and the mask should be replaced. Only in very poor quality or in proximity to wildfire or other natural disaster is this likely to occur in three to five months.

Most Vogmask users replace the Vogmask at one year of use.

If any part or assembly of the mask is damaged, or if a good seal is not achievable, discard the mask.

MAINTENANCE, CLEANING, WASHING

WASHING

Hand wash by rinsing outer and inner layer with water.  Add a drop of liquid soap and gently rub inner and outer layer. Rinse again and hang to fully dry before storage in a cool, dry place. 

Tip: Have a clean dry towel on standby to absorb excess water after rinsing before drying.

Wash the mask only when you wish to clean the outer and inner layer. Washing the mask does not clear the filter media of microscopic particles.

The valve is permanently attached to the mask. Do NOT detach.

Rinsing the valve will clear it of microscopic dust and particles. 

DAILY maintenance
You may use alcohol wipes >61% or alcohol spray without affecting filtering efficiency.
Expose to sunlight.
Respirator users should wash their hands before putting on a respirator and after taking one off.
